Problems and Complaints

We hope that you will be satisfied with the service you receive from us.

If you have a problem that you are not able to resolve with the Director or executive responsible for your matter, please contact the Complaints Director Jeremy Whitby-Smith, informing him of the nature of the problem. We will make every effort to deal with it quickly and operate an internal complaints handling system to help us to resolve the problem between ourselves.

If you are not satisfied with our handling of your complaint you can ask the Legal Ombudsman (or the Legal Complaints Service if before 6 October 2010) to consider the complaint. Normally, you will need to bring a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of receiving a final written response from us about your complaint.
